Lifelong Learning is about Learning for LIfe

* Lifelong learning is a choice we make to move us closer to reaching our goals, what we want to make of ourselves and realising our potential.
* Lifelong learning provides opportunities for us to learn and grow. No matter how small a new thing you learn it keeps you on the path to realising your potential.
* Learning can be fun and give you a skills boost.
* If you're learning for leisure, qualifications probably won't be your ultimate goal. It's more about pursuing an interest further in a more structured way, though it could be a stepping stone to more formal learning later.

The Journey Begins

What do I hope to achieve during this journey- I will be going on a road trip when I retire, so my main aim now is to learn all I can using new tools so that I can share this journey with my family and friends. I never thought that I would even consider buying a laptop let alone taking one on holiday with me. But what an amazing way of sharing your venture as you go along instead of waiting to get your photos developed after the event. With the way technology is developing no doubt there will be much more new stuff to learn before I retire. So in the meantime getting my "L"s is a push in the right direction.

On the Road to Discovery

I'm on my way now but find myself stuck in first gear. I've discovered that I'm now following myself around. HELP someone out there in bloger land - How do I stop myself from following my own tail.
Haven't ventured too far yet as I'm hoping to ease myself into this training. After all I've only just gotten my "L"s.

The initial stage of this journey started out OK but I found getting into the drivers seat the next day a bit hard as I feel that I am not quite ready yet to get out there on my own. Theres so much navagation to get my head around but theres always tomorrow.

Getting my "L"s

Off to a bumpy start. Had problems starting and managed to fluke creating my first blogg. Now that I'm on the road to discovery I intend to stay here untill I master the first steps at least. Don't know whats around the corner and can't wait to see whats there.
